Fredrick H Rogers, 74 born in Claremont NH, died peacefully in his Tuftonboro NH home, surrounded by family on Tuesday November 22nd 2022. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Margarite Rogers, son Ralph Hawes, granddaughter Derika Tasker and grandson Paul Jones.
Fred served in the U S navy as loadmaster on C130’s, the Army National Guard and Army Ready Reserves. He was a member of the Masons and Bektash Shriners. He worked as a machinist at Joy Manufacturing, as a substitute teacher, at Sterm Ruger, Palmer Machine and MacLean Precision Machine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Nathaniel Hawthorn College, as well as, a certificate in alcohol counseling from NHTI.
Fred and Anne were married for fifty years. He is survived by his wife Rea Anne (Philbrick) Rogers. He leaves his sisters Sarah Jane Lizzotte and Isabelle Hodgeman. Children Laurie Jones; husband Michael, Bonnie Jones; husband Edward, Kerrie Anne; husband Elvis Arroyo, Kelsey Perchinski; husband Mathew, Stephanie Burkhardt; husband Darrell and Michelle Hawes wife of Ralph Hawes. Eight grandchildren, six great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved pets Sissy and Button Kitty cats.
Fred’s hobbies included involvement in Whitcomb’s Rangers doing revolutionary reenactments, carving, building car and plane models, classic and antique cars and NASCAR.
Calling hours will be held Friday December 2nd from, 2:00pm-4:00pm, with a service at 4:00pm at Lord Funeral Home 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro NH. Graveside to be held in the spring, date to be announced.
Donations may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children in Boston MA or Saint Jude’s.
