Frederick Antell, 101 years old of Center Tuftonboro, NH passed away on Friday, December 5, 2025, of natural causes. He was born in Worcester, MA on January 28, 1924, to Agnes and Joseph Antell.
Fred grew up in Spencer, MA and married his high school sweetheart, Rachel Longley, and they celebrated 73 wonderful years of marriage until her passing in 2020.
Fred attended Rensselaer Polytechnical Institute after transferring from the University of Maine with the US Navy. He majored in Civil Engineering.
Later he founded and ran a very successful commercial construction company with his two brothers in central Massachusetts for over thirty years. Fred and Rachel then moved to their summer cottage in NH and helped two of his sons run a second successful construction company.
First and foremost, he was a devout Christian and a family man. His love, wisdom and quick wit inspired everyone who knew him. He loved sports, from his college baseball career to golf. In his later years, he took up creative painting, and he also designed his own holiday cards for the family members and friends.
His love included everyone from his children to all his siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and great grandchildren on both sides of the family. He was and continues to be such a blessing to us all.
Survivors include his children Allan, Cathy, Bill and Tom, and their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a dear brother-in-law.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road, Alton, NH on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be held at the Town House Cemetery in Tuftonboro, NH on May 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with Military Honors.
