Giovanna Julissa Bryant
Giovanna Julissa Bryant of Center Tuftonboro, NH passed away on Thursday April 8, 2021.
Gio, as she was affectionately known, was born on December 24, 1985 in Miraflores, Peru to Julia Balbaro Lucrecia and Roberto Champac. She grew up in Peru and graduated from Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University with a degree in Hotel & Tourism. In 2008, she came to the United States to work at Attitash Mountain Resort where she met her husband, John. When the work season came to an end, John was not quite ready to let her go home, so she stayed, and they were married on September 9, 2009. Gio started working at Bald Peak Colony Club in 2010 in housekeeping and transitioned to one of the best Executive Housekeeping Supervisors they ever had. She worked there for 11 years and was adored by both coworkers and members.
Gio worked very hard to study and prepare for one of her greatest goals. She was so excited and proud that on August 19, 2016, she became a United States citizen.
Sometimes the measure of your life will be the measure of your courage and Gio was certainly courageous. She came to this country not knowing the language or where she was going. She connected with people and showed kindness to everyone she met. She overcame so much in her short life. Gio surrounded herself with people who inspired and challenged her to become the best version of herself and it turned out to be the best thing she did for her friends, colleagues and employees who loved her. She had a way of making every person she met feel special and loved. She was happy, gracious, helpful, appreciative and her beautiful smile brightened every room she walked into. Her laughter was contagious and brought joy to all those around her.
Gio is survived by her beloved husband, John Bryant and her beloved four-legged companion, Marley, as well as her mother, Julia Balbaro Lucrecia, father, Roberto Champac and siblings, Robert Champac, Jessica Champac, Moises Champac and Lucero Champac.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11AM at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road, Alton, NH
