Gyme Lynn (Edgerley) Berry

Mirror Lake, NH

On Tuesday June 2, 2020 Gyme L. Berry passed away at her home in Mirror Lake, NH, after fighting a long battle of Cancer.  She was surrounded by her family and was holding the hands of her beloved children united as a family.

Gyme Lynn Berry was born on January 18, 1947 the daughter of the late John Edgerly Sr and Alice (Bennett) Edgerly and was a lifelong resident of Tuftonboro.

She was a part of the first graduating class of Kingswood Regional High School in Wolfeboro, NH.  After graduation Gyme and her husband started their family and worked diligently to provide a loving and caring home.  Her next venture involved being a member of the Wolfeboro Rescue Squad and an Emergency Medical Technician.  While being an EMT one of Gyme’s proudest moments was the delivering a baby.  Gyme was also the silent supporter of Berry Appliance for 38 years.

Home life and gardening gave her peace and solace.  She enjoyed her pets more than most people.  Her husband always promised a seasonal cottage on the lake, which became a fish house.  The family spent many memorable weekend’s with close friends and family on the lake.  Her love of the ocean drew her and will bring her home.

Gyme was the wife of Steven D. Berry for 54 years, an amazing strong and loving husband who followed his vows to the end.  She was a loving mother to her son Steven D Berry and his partner Amber Wansor and son Reed; her daughter Leah M. Berry and her partner Steve C. Smart.  She was known as “Maggie” to her grandchildren, Alyssa M. Berry and her partner Tyler Brewster; Tanner D. Berry and his wife Meghan Berry; Bailey L. Berry and Kylie A. Berry.  She was a proud great grandmother to John and baby Lilah and daughter in law Wendy Berry.  Bella and Rosie her beloved dog and cat were also by her side.

A private service will be conducted at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations in her memory may be made to the Central NH VNA and Hospice, PO Box 1620, Wolfeboro, NH.  The family would like to recognize her nurse Gina Davey for being a part of the compassionate, professional and supportive nursing care that Gyme Lynn Berry received in her final days.

She will be missed by everyone that got a chance to know her.
