Obituary

Janet Carroll, 74, of Tamworth, NH was taken from us unexpectedly in an auto accident on August 9, 2023. She was born on March 25, 1949 to the late Henry and Anna (Gasper) Schulz in Beverly, MA.

Janet graduated from Melrose High School in 1967 in Melrose, MA and then going on to further her education in community college. She met her husband William Carroll and for the first several years of their marriage they lived in the Boston area as Bill worked for the city of Boston. Where they loved to dress up like Mr. & Mrs. Claus visiting all the kids and delivering toys to watch kids smile, the two then moved to New Hampshire in 1990 so they could raise their daughter in the country Janet had a love for the wilderness, and she loved looking out her living room window to watch the wildlife such as bears walk around.

Janet and William would often take a drive to the ocean together. Picking up lunch along the way and then finding a nice place to sit and watching the waves crash around.

Janet will be remembered by always being a happy person who loved children and animals. She was always a woman who was there for her family when they needed her no matter what was going on in her life.

Janet will be extremely missed by so many that knew her. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved the times she had with her grandsons. Her youngest grandson Wyatt and her were like two peas in a pod always driving down to Subway to get subs together or driving up to Chocorua Lake so she could watch Wyatt & Eric swim. The family will have a fond memory of walking into the living room at their home and seeing Janet and Wyatt as well as her best friend Blu (our dog) all cuddled up together watching movies & eating snacks.

Janet was beyond proud and was very happy to share with other's just how proud she was of her oldest grandson, William for graduating from high school as that was her & Bill's wish, unfortunately Bill had already passed away and Janet couldn't go to his graduation due to health issues.

Janet used to think it was funny to watch her granddaughter-in-law play with her plants and flowers watching her grow some of them back to life by just a small little root and she always loved when her son-in-law would come home with presents for her.

Many local people had the opportunity to meet Janet and Bill and were able to build friendships & bonds with everyone that would see them at the M&V Convenience Store where Janet worked for 27 years meeting many great people and sharing many laughs.

Janet was predeceased by her husband, Willam Carroll to whom she was married for 47 years She is also survived by her daughter Kelly Carroll and her fiancé Duane Housel of Tamworth, NH: her grandson William M. Carroll and his wife Abrielle Carroll: grandson Wyatt A Carroll and step grandson Eric W Housel, she will also be missed by her two sisters Helen Nadler & husband Kenneth Nadler: her sister Carol Hume & husband Robert Hume: her brother Edward Schulz as well as her nieces & nephews & great nieces and great nephews
