Jeffrey Stewart Kennard

Jeffrey Stewart Kennard, 72 years old, passed away at the Concord Hospital after declining health on February 25, 2025.  He was born on May 12, 1952, in Wolfeboro, NH to the late Mr. and Mrs. Raymond S. and Ruth Betty (Pearson) Kennard.

Jeff attended Effingham Elementary School and graduated from Kingswood Reginal High School.  Jeff was kind and compassionate.  In his younger years, he played on many softball leagues in the towns of Freedom, Ossipee, and Tamworth.  He truly enjoyed the farm he grew up on in Effingham.  He continued that passion by raising animals and living off the land throughout his entire life.  He operated a sawmill on the farm and milled wood for many locals.

During the summer months he would be found working in the gardens or haying the fields.  He also operated a farm stand near the family farm that many locals grew to love.  Jeff enjoyed walking throughout the property and on Green Mountain.  Those walks were always with his companion the family Beagle.  Amazingly the Beagle never wondered off, it always stayed by his side.

Jeff was pre-deceased by his parents and sister Kathryn Supernard.  He is survived by his brothers Martin of Effingham, NH, Raymond of Nottingham, NH, Thomas of West Palm, FL; and sisters Jill of Tuftonboro, NH, and Maryann of Milton, NH.

A burial at Grant Hill Cemetery will be announced at a later time.
