Jack Allen, age 76 of Wolfeboro, NH died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19, 2026. He spent his final days with his family, his golden retriever, Oliver Pupperton Of Winter Harbor (Ollie), and his life partner of twenty years, Anne Ulman. Jack was born on June 26, 1949 in Worcester, MA to his mother Helen Allen (né Björklund). Jack loved and honored his Swedish heritage, especially around the Christmas holidays when he enjoyed Swedish Coffee Bread and a glass of Glögg.
Jack served in the United States Air Force after being drafted in 1970. He rose to the rank of Buck Sargent, received the National Defense Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and was honorably discharged in 1974. Upon release from the Air Force, Jack held the skills of a Master Plumber and began a long career in Massachusetts working both independently and also for institutions across the Commonwealth including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, McLean Hospital, and Raytheon Technologies.
Jack, along with his family and friends, loved their time spent at Deer Cove in Ossipee, NH. He spent weekends in the summer boating on the lake and tending to his immaculate lawn. In the winter he enjoyed snowmobiling. After moving to his home on Deer Cove full-time, he began working at a local rehab facility as the Director of Facilities where he met his partner, Anne.
Jack and Anne moved to Wolfeboro, NH in 2008 and made the community their home with their dogs Jake, Tucker, and Ollie. Jack will be remembered for his ability to solve any problem, fix anything that was broken, and his generosity in sharing his expertise and knowledge with those who loved him. Anne and Jack loved to attend the New England Vintage Boat Auction, go to The Pine Cone Café in Tuftonboro, NH, have steak for dinner on Saturdays, and tend to their yard with their koi pond of goldfish.
Jack leaves behind his children and grandchildren. His partner Anne and their dog Ollie will continue to honor, remember, and love Jack in the home that they made in Wolfeboro.
