Joseph Lawrence Paradis

Joseph Lawrence Paradis, 86 years old of Ossipee, NH, passed away on December 25, 2024 at his home. He was born the first child to Lucian and Loretta (Pellitier) Paradis on June 10, 1938 in Frenchville, Maine.  

Joseph attended local schools until he stopped to help with the family. He later enlisted in the United States Army and was then honorably discharged after 3 years of service. While in the Army he assisted with the operation of heavy equipment. So when he left the service he found employment with Local 4 in Boston as their heavy equipment operator. That job he maintained for 30 plus years until his retirement.

Joseph enjoyed camping at Apple Valley Campground in Maine. He also enjoyed working around his home on different projects, such as the tractors.

Joseph is survived by his wife of 48 years to Claire (Ross) Paradis to whom he loved dearly. He also leaves behind two step-children; Troy D. Huot of Center Conway, NH, and Michelle M. West of Nottingham, NH. He has two grandchildren; Michael West of New Ipswich, NH, and Jacinda Huot of Conway, NH. Also two great-grandchildren; Sage and Bentley. As well as many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his siblings: Leo, Norman, Raymond, Lucian, Claudette, Maurce.
