Karen T. Bretton Eldridge

Karen T. Bretton Eldridge, 62 years old of Center Ossipee, New Hampshire, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 16, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born in Haverhill, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Frederick Bretton and Dorothy (Gilman) Bretton. She moved to Ossipee in 1986 and worked for Ossipee Head Start. Shortly after that, she started working at Farm Fare IGA, which became Valuland Food Store. For over 30 years, she enjoyed not only her job as the baker but also her interactions with the customers. Many people will remember her over the years as the “cheese lady”. For a short time, she worked as an in-home health care provider before recently retiring.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, and her grandchildren meant the world to her. Karen was someone who would always show up for anyone who asked, especially when it came to family or sporting events. She loved Christmas and putting together her village to honor her mom. She also loved singing her favorite songs and spending time at Ossipee Lake.

She leaves behind a daughter, Deanna Eldridge, two sons, Eric Eldridge and his wife Kelly, and Chadd Eldridge. Her grandchildren Leah, Caleb, Bradley, Gannon, Emma and Marshall. Her sisters Donna, Gail, Rhonda, and brother Eric. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and so many great friends.

Calling hours will be Lord Funeral Home in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire on January 10, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Ossipee, New Hampshire on January 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
