Karen Lundell Faul died January 8, 2025, after a 36-year battle with cancer, during which time she was sustained by her faith in Christ. She was the beloved wife of the Rev. George Faul, the mother of Kristina Faul Cortes; Amy Beth Morrison and Erick Faul; the mother-in-law to Ricardo Cortes, Douglas Morrison and Laura Marion-Faul; the grandmother (Mor Mor) to 12; the sister of Mrs. Linda Osborne and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lundell of Kensington, CT.
A graduate of New Britain High School, and Gordon College in Wenham, MA, she put her degree into action working as a social worker for the State of Connecticut and Massachusetts and at a private girl’s institution in Hollidaysburg, PA. Later in life she was a special educator at Ossipee Elementary school.
First and foremost, for Karen was her faith, the cornerstone that guided her through life’s ups and downs. She had a unique way to lead and protect her family by mixing strength, humor, grace and love, no matter the circumstances. Always proud of her Swedish heritage, she was elated to tell us all that she would be known as Mor Mor to her grandchildren. As the wife of a minister, she enjoyed constant action hosting parishioners in the parsonage (especially holiday parties), Bible studies at the church and proofreading and collaborating on George’s sermons.
