Kathleen "Katy" C. (Richter) Morrill

Kathleen “Katy” Morrill, 81 of Tamworth passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at the Mountain View Nursing Home, Ossipee, NH.

She was born in Germany to Mia & Hans Richter.  She grew up in Dresden, Germany with her parents, brother and sister.  She came to America in 1963.  Many will remember Katy as the owner of Katy’s German/American Restaurant of Tamworth which she opened in 1969.  Her favorite menu item was her “Schnitzel”.  The restaurant closed in 1999 when she retired. 

She is predeceased by her parents and her first husband Everett Davis.  She leaves behind her children, Robert (Debra) Davis, of Tamworth, Michael Davis (Kim Cotton) of Tamworth and Christina Davis of Wheat Ridge, CO, her grandchildren Jeremy Davis, Nichole Cotton of Tamworth and Jessica Graham of Colorado along with her great grandchildren Mason Davis and Cooper Davis of Tamworth, her sister Ursula Richter and brother Ingo Richter of Germany and her nieces.  She also leaves behind her second husband Richard Morrill.

Katy had a love of travel.  Every year she would close the restaurant from March to May to visit her mother in Germany and to travel many places around the world.  The last 5 years have been spent at the Mountain View Nursing Home.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, May 12 at 1:00 PM at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee NH  03814
