Keri Shannon, a lifelong resident of Alton and Wolfeboro, passed away suddenly but peacefully at her home on February 26, 2022. She was 46 years old. Keri was born on June 16, 1975, at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro. Keri was the cherished daughter of Rene and Lynn Pelletier of Wolfeboro. She immediately brought joy and laughter to all who knew her.
Keri grew up in Alton, NH with her family. She attended Alton Central School in Alton, NH from grades K-12, graduating with honors in 1993. She was a gifted athlete excelling in volleyball and basketball. Her passion was basketball and she received numerous honors and accolades, including scoring 1000 points her senior year. After graduating she went on to receive her degrees in education with a BS and master’s degree credits from Notre Dame College. At this time, she met Greg and moved to Wolfeboro. They were married in 1999. They had been married for 22 years and have two sons: Brogan and Ryder. Following in his mother’s footsteps Brogan went on to excel in basketball and scored 1000 points in his senior year. He is a freshman at St. Anselm's college in Manchester, NH. Ryder is also an excellent athlete. He is following in his dads’ footsteps. As an 8th grader he has become an excellent hockey player who is looking forward to an exciting high school career.
Keri loved the beautiful Lakes Region and spent many years boating on Lake Winnipesaukee. Boating, swimming, water skiing, snow skiing and watching basketball were activities she enjoyed. She also was a special education teacher at Crescent Lake School in Wolfeboro for many years.
Keri was fiercely dedicated to being a loving wife, mom, daughter, and sister. This was a role that gave her much pride and joy. She raised her sons to grow and achieve wonderful accomplishments. She instilled important qualities in all around her. All who had the privilege of knowing Keri were truly blessed. She will be missed by all.
Keri is survived by her husband Greg, her sons, Brogan and Ryder, parents, Rene and Lynn Pelletier, brother Matthew and wife Rachael, nieces Taylor and Avery, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and countless friends.
Calling hours will be on Sunday, March13, 2022 at Lord’s Funeral Home from 3:00-5:00 PM, at the Lord Funeral Home, Wolfeboro, NH.
A funeral mass will be held on Monday, March 14,2022 at 11:00 at St. Katharine Drexel Parish in Alton.
