Lois Elaine Bushman

Ctr. Ossipee, NH 

Lois Elaine (Oxner) Bushman, 75, of Ctr. Ossipee, NH, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 29, 2023.  She was predeceased by her husband, Richard (Dickie) Bushman, who passed a few weeks prior due to a lengthy illness. 

Lois was born in Lynn, MA to Helen (Dunbar) and Ralph E. Oxner on February 27, 1948.  She was a graduate of Lynn English High School and Chandler Secretarial School, Boston.  Lois worked for many years at Hewlett Packard in Andover, MA before fulfilling her lifelong dream of moving to NH, where she met and married her husband of 27 years.  Together they acquired and renovated property in Ctr. Ossipee, where they lived a good life tending to their horses, maintaining their gardens and loving the peacefulness of their surroundings.  Lois, also, worked for 10 years for the State of NH DSS as a case manager before retiring, at which time she continued working part-time at Mountain View Nursing Home, a job she loved.  Lois had a creative soul.  She was artistic and created some truly beautiful pieces--stained glass was but one of her passions.  

Lois is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Beaton White, and grandson, Conor White of Naugatuck, CT; her brother, Ralph and (spouse) Patricia Oxner of Barrington, NH; nephew’s, Greg and Jessie Oxner and families; a grandson, Ryan Beaton, and great grandson, Landon; a stepson, Thomas Bushman and family of Tuftonboro, NH; a stepdaughter, Alison Somario and family of Albuquerque, NM; as well as many step-grandchildren.  Lois was, also, predeceased by her daughter, Denise Beaton; mother, Helen Oxner, and father, Ralph E. Oxner. 

There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of life will be held for both Lois and Dick at a later date, TBD.
