Wolfeboro, NH
Lynn Fontaine, 63, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 after a very brief illness.
Lynn was born on May 25, 1957 in Haverhill, MA, the son of Normand and Clare Fontaine. He attended Whittier Regional Technical School, moved to New Durham, NH with his parents in 1978 and to Wolfeboro in 1992.
Lynn enjoyed doing odd jobs over the years. He also loved helping family and neighbors with their chores. He loved hunting and especially fishing, always trying for “the next big one.” One of his greatest joys was being among family at the lake for cookouts and campfires.
Lynn had a huge heart and was very kind and generous. Like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz, we all know we’ve got a heart, ‘cause it’s breaking…Lynn will be missed tremendously.
Lynn is survived by his brothers and sisters: Paul Fontaine of Dover, Kathleen Merrill of Deland, FL, Thomas “Randy” Fontaine and his wife Nancy of Haverhill, MA, Mary Patry and her husband Gil of New Durham, Shawn Fontaine and his wife Linda of New Durham, Roberta French and Charlie White of Sandwich, Sheila Harley and her husband Michael of Daytona, FL, Karen P. Fontaine of New Durham, and Robert Fontaine and his wife Gevry of Framingham, MA; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews whom he adored.
He was predeceased by his loving parents and a nephew, Christopher M. Dore.
Calling hours will be Sunday, March 7th from 2-5 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home in Wolfeboro. Burial will be at a later date.
