Marjorie G. Dahle passed away suddenly but peacefully on the morning of the Lord’s Day, Sunday, September 24th, 2023. A woman of varied talents and interests, Marjorie was a published poet, author and editor of Neighbors to the Winter Camp, and Project Director of the PBS documentary film Hard Winter. Since moving to NH, she embraced her community and enjoyed writing with her poetry group, Poets in the Attic. Marjorie was pleased that her poem, Ice Out, was included in the 2008 New Hampshire Anthology of Poetry. This poem was incorporated in the UNH Premier Performance of original works featuring selected poems, created and performed by the UNH Concert Choir in 2017.
Those who met Marjorie knew she was an independent free spirit. She loved people and her energy and ability to bring joy to others was evident each and every day. Marjorie loved her bible study groups and never missed an opportunity to share the Good News, a kind word and sometimes a big laugh with those who crossed her path.
Marjorie Dahle was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a dear friend to many. She met the day with vim and vigor and strove to keep the Lord by her side. Marjorie is survived by and will be greatly missed by her adoring husband Frank, two daughters, Jennifer and Tracey, their husbands, Richard and Charles, three grandsons, Charles, his wife Amy, Kurt and Tucker, and two great grandchildren, Blakely and Nolan.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the First Christian Church in Wolfeboro on Saturday, 14 October, 2023 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers, Marjorie would wish that donations be made in her memory, supporting an organization of your choosing.
