Marybeth Harris, 59, of Effingham, NH passed away February 12th, peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born November 3, 1961, Marybeth grew up in North Andover, Massachusetts. She attended Lawrence Regional Vocational Tech and found her way to Effingham after the death of her beloved husband, Robert Harris in 2006.
Marybeth loved attending the local fairs and the Oxford Mud Runs in Maine. She had a love for Native American arts and crafts and was known to have many dreamcatchers. Marybeth found great joy in the times spent playing bingo at Funspot in Laconia, NH with her dear friends Donna and Kathy or playing slots at the casino. Her smile brightened any room that remained with her through her cancer treatments. Always in a positive spirit, she looked forward to her visits with friends who were more family than friend.
She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, friend David “Red Dog” Emmons, and Anita “Gram” Sanborn, who loved Mary as her own.
She is survived by her son Joshua Ammon and fiancée Veronica Sweeney, grandson Lochlan Ammon, two brothers (Bill and Timothy) and a sister (Erin). Marybeth is also survived and will be sorely missed by dear friends Donna and Bob MacDonald, Jennifer Sanborn, Kathy and Richard Sanborn, Mike Monroe and Kristian Ballard, Matt and Lindsay MacDonald, Morgan Monroe and Tyson Sprague, Carson Sprague, Ricky and Alex Guilbault and countless other friends whose lives were made better from knowing Marybeth.
At Marybeth’s request, there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marybeth’s name to Cornerstone VNA at 178 Farmington Road, Rochester, NH 03867.
