Mark Morford

Rollinsford NH and Freedom, NH

 Mark Creighton Morford, 61, passed away at his home in Rollinsford, NH on Saturday November 19, 2022. 

Mark was born January 3, 1961 in Ashtabula, Ohio, the son of the late Creighton Taylor Morford and Dorothy Ruth (Nutile) Morford.  He was a 1979 graduate of Iroquois Central High School in Elma, NY.  After graduation, Mark attended and graduated from Clarkson University in 1985 where he earned his degree in Industrial Engineering and then went on to attain his MBA from Plymouth State University.  Mark worked for many years at General Electric in Pittsfield, MA, Cabletron Systems in Rochester, NH, and several other companies throughout Massachusetts and New Hampshire.  In June 1997, he married Cheryl A. Pomerleau, they welcomed their son Derek C. Morford, and they made their home in South Berwick, Maine.  

Mark enjoyed sport shooting and led his high school rifle team to a state championship in 1979. He was also passionate about riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycles, tinkering with motors, and spending time with his family on Ossipee Lake in Freedom, New Hampshire.   He was most proud of his son Derek with whom he was still residing.  Mark had a great sense of humor and with his quick wit and fast thinking was always able to bring laughter to any gathering he attended.  

Mark is survived by his son Derek C. Morford and sister Holly R. (Morford) Robacher both of Rollinsford, NH.  He also leaves behind a nephew Alex J. Robacher of Rollinsford, NH, as well as an uncle and several cousins with whom he was very close.  He was predeceased by his wife Cheryl A. (Pomerleau) Morford in July 2006.
