Having moved at an early age from Stoneham, Massachusetts Nancy met Norman Vittum at Ossipee High School. Together they began a hike through New Hampshire’s White Mountains and an exciting life together that lasted more than 60 years.
Predeceased by Norman Sr. in 2013 and a young son Normie in 1971, Nancy leaves son Jim Vittum of Tuftonboro, his son Cade of Waterville Valley and daughter Erinn of Salt Lake City, Utah. Daughter Vanessa and her husband Michael Ruggiero of Moultonborough, granddaughter Hope and fiancé Fred Vogel of Epping, granddaughter Brindall, her husband Steve Grant of Portsmouth and great grandchildren Olivia and Jacob Grant.
On a sunny day in the spring, happy memories will be scattered with Nancy’s ashes as she joins Norman Sr. and Normie in the Ossipee Mountains Range.
Hiker‘s Scholarship Fund and The Tuftonboro Town Scholarship Fund welcome gifts in her memory.
