George his famous nickname (for himself and them), for those who knew him well.  He will be remembered for his Yankee Wit and uncanny ability to make people laugh.

Norman was born in Wolfeboro, NH on January 29, 1944, the first born of Gerald and Rosemay Sargent. He was the oldest of four children. He grew up in Center Ossipee, NH and Chickville, NH attending local schools. He later owned and operated N.G. Sargent Electric before he retired in 2010.

He was an expert marksman and enjoyed making his own ammo, target shooting with his brother Joe behind his house.

Norman was an avid Bluegrass Music fan and very proud of his custom-made left-handed Martin. He entered several talent shows when he was a young artist. As an adult he and Lee Waterhouse traveled together to many festivals where he played and met many other fans and entertainers. Later he played with Dick, Randy, Jerry, Dean and Phyllis in their local band. He also enjoyed photography, gardening, watching birds and other wildlife from his window at home.

He supported many charities including St. Josephs Indian School, St. Jude’s, Animal Shelters and Joel Osteen who he watched and prayed with daily.
