Orville Richard Bibber, known by everyone as "Red", was born in New Brunswick, Maine
December 6, 1941. He was the son of Richard and Sylvia (Allen) Bibber.
Red grew up in the southern New Hampshire in the seacoast area. Red participated in things like digging clams, deep sea fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. He worked as a cook mostly and had a few other odd jobs.
He moved to Sanbornville, New Hampshire in the early 1970s after his father passed to help his mother, Sylvia.
Red met his wife Lillian (Roberts) in 1974 and after 2 years they were married on November 20, 1976. Lillian had two children from a previous marriage, Edward and Linda. Red worked at the Yield House, a furniture manufacturing company in West Ossipee, New Hampshire for over two decades. He did other various jobs in factories until he retired.
Red wasn't ready to retire though, so he spent the next dozen or so years with his wife Lillian hosting National Forest campgrounds. They made many friends along the way and have great memories together. They always had a dog with them and were very generous with donating to animal shelters and wildlife associations. They adopted several dogs over the years and it was a big part of their lives.
Red is survived by his stepson Edward Butler and stepdaughter Linda Morgan. Also 4 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Calling hours will be at the Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH on Friday, November 24, 2023, from 5 – 7 PM. A funeral service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Ossipee, 50 Route 16 B, Center Ossipee on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at 1 PM, followed by a committal service at the Chickville Cemetery in Center Ossipee.
In lieu of flowers, please consider make a donation in Red’s name to a local animal shelter.
