Otto “Bud” Nemec, 95, of Mirror Lake, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025. Born in Chicago, Bud enjoyed a long and accomplished career as an electrical engineer with Rockwell International, where he was remembered for his precision, curiosity, and dedication to his work.

Bud proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War, carrying throughout his life a quiet sense of duty, resilience, and honor shaped by his years of service. He was also very proud of achieving the top rank of Eagle Scout, an accomplishment that reflected his character, leadership, and lifelong commitment to helping others.

He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Gail Nemec. Bud is also survived by his stepson, Jeffrey Childs, Jeffrey’s wife Lynda, and his stepson Craig Childs. He leaves behind two grandchildren who brought him great joy: Evan and Allison. Bud is further survived by many loving nieces and nephews who cherished his warmth, humor, and steady presence in their lives.

Bud lived an active and joyful life, embracing many hobbies including tennis, swimming, golf, bowling, and dancing. Whether on the court, in the water, or on the dance floor, he found fun and lasting friendships.

Known for his gentle nature, steady wisdom, and generous spirit, Bud was deeply loved by his family and will be profoundly missed. His life and legacy live on in all who knew him.
