Patricia H. Jones

It is with great sadness that the family of Patricia H. Jones announce her passing. Pat was born in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and she spent her early years in Rochester. Pat returned to Wolfeboro to attend Brewster Academy, graduating with the Class of 1961. She then attended the University of New Hampshire where she received both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree. Always the student she finally earned a PhD from Boston University.

She was an elementary school teacher for thirty plus years – mostly at Carpenter School. She enjoyed art and was an avid artist. She often gave art lessons and shared her talents with her adult students. Her paintings adorn many homes in New England.

Pat served as a Selectman for the Town of Ossipee, was a member of the Mount Washington Valley Economic Council, and the Eastern Lakes Region Housing Coalition. She was a driving force at the Ossipee Main Street Program and worked to achieve the gazebo that sits in the nearby park. She enjoyed gardening and tended the flowers in the park and always tried to have the gazebo decorated for Christmas for the enjoyment of her fellow citizens.

A graveside service will be held in the Spring of 2026 at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wolfeboro.
