Patricia A. Peters

Patricia Peters, 74 of Wolfeboro NH passed away peacefully after a brief illness surrounded by close family while loved ones on the other side carried her home to God.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Peters, her daughters  Melissa Peters and Sheila Baston and her husband Bryce, a son, Gordon Peters and his partner Robin C. Bean; Three grandchildren, Rebecca and Nicholas Baston, 19, and Sydney Baston, 16; brother Bruce Nichols of Naples FL, Charles Nichols Jr of Eliot ME, and Marguerite (Peggy) Toton of South Berwick ME, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Dennis Michael, Donald, and his twin sister Donna.

Pat was born and raised in Philadelphia. Her husband John was a police officer with the Philadelphia police department and upon his retirement from the department in 1989 the family relocated to Maine where her dad was originally from and where the family had vacationed for years. Pat loved sitting on the rocks at York Beach, ME. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved to be called Abuela. She was known for her colorful hats that coordinated with her outfits.

Prior to her stroke 5 years ago, she was an avid reader, a volunteer for Cocheco Valley Humane Society in Dover and Great Bay Services. She loved cooking, big family get togethers, playing bingo, her beloved Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, as well as the Boston Red Sox.

She lived a full life and will be missed terribly by family and friends. If you knew Pat, you knew warmth and kindness. She was a truly special person and a star will burn brighter in the sky now that she is in heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held to remember Pat on April 27th from 2-4 at Lord Funeral Home on 23 Club Road in Wolfeboro.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to either Great Bay Services in Dover, NH or the ASPCA.
