Patricia Vierstra

Patricia Ann Vierstra 78, native of Wolfeboro, NH, passed Friday morning, November 15, 2019 after a brief battle with cancer.

Born November 23, 1940, in Carroll County, daughter of the late Marion and David Bruce. She was preceded in death by her husband James Vierstra, her daughter Vickie Meffert, A brother James Russell; and survived by sister, Sharon Dalphond, daughter, Wendy Arguin, son and daughter-in-law, William David & Lisa Meffert, four grandchildren, Andy Arguin, April Arguin, Christopher Meffert, and Sean & his wife Carolyn Meffert; one great-grandchild Wesley Meffert, two Nieces and plenty of great nieces and nephews.

Patricia lived most of her life in Allenstown, NH raising her family.  She and her husband were members of the American Legion Post 28 of Suncook NH.  She spent leisure time at her camp enjoying family and friends.  She enjoyed snow-mobiles, fishing & boating, camp fires, playing cards, arts & crafts.   Reunions with family in Wolfeboro, along with vacation week at “Donna’s camp” were summer highlights for her. She achieved her dream of retiring to Florida, where her and her late husband enjoyed countless days living the sunshine state dream.  Despite her love of retirement life in Florida, she frequently made visits back to NH to visit family, and she treasured events like the Deerfield Fair, and sitting on the bleachers watching “Hoss Pulling”as she affectionately called it. 

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 23, 2019, at Lord’s Funeral Home,636 Center Street, Wolfeboro, NH 03894 with Pastor Steven Kendall officiating. Burial will take place in Spring.  Guests are welcome to join us for fellowship at the OCC in Ossipee NH following the services..
