Patritia Katherine Kiley

Patritia Katherine Kiley, 96, passed away at her home in Wolfeboro, NH on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. Born in Lynn, MA on March 21, 1929 and raised in Lynn, MA, she was the daughter of Katherine Harriet LaViska Kelly and Edward Kelly and sister to JoAnn Kelly McCarthy. Mrs. Kiley attended Boston University’s Sargent College and became a physical therapist. She went on to work in hospitals in Houston, TX and Washington, DC. During those years, she was married to Quinton Armstrong, whom she met in Texas. After she was widowed, she moved to Massachusetts.

In 1962, she married John J. Kiley, Jr. in Lynnfield, MA. They settled in Andover, MA, spending summers in Moultonborough, NH. Together they raised eight children. In Andover, Mrs. Kiley was a member of St. Joseph’s and St. Augustine’s churches. She spent many years working with infants, toddlers and children and their families at the Professional Center for Handicapped Children, now called Partners in Child Development, on Osgood Street in Andover. She volunteered widely and taught CCD.

Mrs. Kiley had a home in Wolfeboro, NH for 27 years, and became a full-time resident in 2017. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish, was involved with the garden club and was an active member of book clubs and reading groups.

She is predeceased by her first husband Quinton Armstrong, her husband John J. Kiley Jr., daughter Anne Kiley Russell Burke, grandson Michael Russell, her parents Katherine and Edward Kelly, and her sister JoAnn McCarthy.

She is survived by Joan K. and Ted O’Brien, John J. Kiley III, Moira K. Kiley, Matthew and Susanne Kiley; Megan and David Bartle, Amy Kiley and Lucas Hubbard, Gillian Kiley and Sam White and by 11 grandchildren: Erin and spouse Christopher Wholey; Kerry and spouse Noah Farr; Bridget Kiley Hubbard; Emma, Leah and Jack Bartle; Grace, Molly and Rose Kiley; Winona and Abe White; and five great grandchildren: Kathryn and Alice Wholey; and Lyla, Miles and Ollie Farr.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro, NH 03894. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 40 Hidden Springs Road, Alton, NH 03809 on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 11:00 a.m.
