Paul Labbe

Paul Labbe, 80, of Tuftonboro, NH and formerly of Wolfeboro, NH passed away peacefully with family at his side on June 19, 2026. Born in Manchester, NH to Armand and Estelle Labbe on January 6, 1946. Paul lived a long and joyful life marked by strong values, generosity, and deep commitment to family.  

After graduating from Pembroke High School in 1964, Paul joined the Air National Guard and was stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. Following several roles in sales, he and his wife, Louise, opened a grocery store in Wolfeboro in 1980 and became a town fixture for 30 years. The store served as a community hub where neighbors stopped in for necessities, conversation, and coffee. Paul loved interacting with customers, suppliers, and employees, many of whom became dear friends for life. Through the store, Paul and Louise supported several local organizations, provided jobs for many, and often supplied groceries to those in need. He quietly gave much of his time and resources to support friends and others in need.

Paul enjoyed boating, skiing, fishing, and playing golf. An avid sports fan, he loved talking sports with others. He had a wide circle of friends and treasured time spent with them. He always carried his lucky $1 coin, which he used for “flipping” or making small bets with friends. He was universally liked for his warm, easygoing, and kind personality. 

He was the beloved husband of Louise Labbe, his high school sweetheart, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of the late Jeffrey Labbe, Mark Labbe and his wife, Monique, of Milton, MA, and Julie Walker and her husband, Jeffrey, of Tuftonboro, NH. He was the cherished grandfather of Nathan Labbe, Michael Labbe, Sara Labbe, Marlee (Walker) Gadomski and her husband Chris, and Abby Walker and her fiancé Joey Wheatley, and great-grandfather of Waverly Gadomski and Hazel Wheatley. 

Paul was one of four children, along with his brother, the late Richard Labbe, and his sisters, Louise Martel and Jackie Labbe. He was an uncle to several nieces and nephews.  

Services to honor Paul’s remarkable life will be held at Lord Funeral Home, 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro, NH 03894, on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

Paul will be remembered for his outgoing personality, enduring kindness, joyful spirit, and deep love for family, friends, and community. He was rarely seen without a smile and was truly one of a kind. His presence was a blessing to many, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
