Paul Allan Rawlings

Paul Allan Rawlings passed away peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2025. Paul was born in Norwood, Massachusetts to Carl A. Rawlings and Lillian Rawlings (Johnson). 

Paul was a plastering contractor all of his life. He started off learning from his father and then he went to work with an Italian Plasterer, Paul was old school. He really took pride in his work.

He married the love of his life, Geraldine Bartlett in the Methodist Church in Woonsocket, Rhode Island in 1965. At that time, they started their family together. They had 4 children together; Debra Lynn Day, Kenneth Paul Rawlings, Eric James Rawlings, and Daniel Aaron Rawlings. Paul retired, and started building our home in 1981. We would come up on weekends until 1995 when we moved to Effingham, New Hampshire full time.

Paul enjoyed hunting, working with rocks, fixing and maintaining the rock walls around his property. He also loved doing leather work, liked to polish his cars, and trucks. Paul enjoyed his vehicles for the longest time.  He enjoyed collecting guns, knives and rocks. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and boating. Paul was a beautiful slalom skier. He would put Kenny upon his shoulders and go around the lake. He never fell…we all wished we could ski like he could. He just made it look so effortless. In his earlier days, he liked dirt bikes and motorcycles, and loved going up the mountains either on the bikes or on the snow machines.

It's hard to remember all this without a tear or two. 

There will be a Memorial Service for friends and family at the Center Effingham Baptist Church on Saturday, November 1, 2025 at 11:00 am.
