Priscilla U. Parsons (aka Pat & Pinky), 98, passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones on August 18, 2024. She was born on July 26, 1926 to Bertha and Percy Usher.
In 1947 she married Henry V. Parsons and raised four children. She is survived by Alan (and Pat) Parsons of Reading, MA, David (and Peg) Parsons of Ocala, FL, Beverly Kimball of Hampstead, NH, and Janet (and Paul) Bartoswicz of Effingham, NH. She was blessed with eight grandchildren; Kate (and Tim) German of Ocala, FL; Christopher (and Sarah) Flathers of Greensboro, NC; Teresa (and James) Morasse of Sandown, NH; Timothy (and Beth) Parsons of Reading, MA; Thomas Parsons of Derry, NH; Anya Bartoswicz and Grace Bartoswicz of Effingham, NH; Khrystyne (and Paul) Fahey of Nashua, NH; Fourteen great-grand children; Ally, Stephanie, Jackie, Matthew, Emily, William, Luke, Tommy, Tamara, Henry, Declan, Gavin, Wesley, and Kylie and even two great-great-grand children; Violet and Serina. She also had extended family members Jim (and Margie) Dietterich of Villas, NJ and Barbara (and Tom) Kuhar, also from New Jersey. Along with many other friends and family that she loved dearly through her years here with us including two little girls Amelia and Hailey Williams of Effingham, NH. She was predeceased by her parents, sisters, Marion and Louise, her husband Henry and son-in-law Kevin Kimball.
In 1974, Henry and Pat moved from Danvers, Massachusetts to Effingham, New Hampshire to live in her grandparents' house. They volunteered with Meals on Wheels, WIC, RSVP and the Ossipee Library. Priscilla was also a long term (40 years) volunteer at Effingham Elementary School helping many children in their early education. She was also on the board of directors for Ossipee Concerned Citizens for many years and a member of the Friends of the Ossipee Library. Henry and Pat were founding members of the Freedom Club when it was known as the Freedom Club of Boston, MA and Freedom, NH.
Upon Henry’s passing, Priscilla continued her love of volunteering and traveled to many places including Alaska, London, and Scotland.
Visiting hour will be 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM, with a memorial service at 3:00 PM at Lord’s Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Burial will be private at a later date.
