Richard "Dickie" Bushman

Richard “Dickie” Bushman, 82 of Center Ossipee, NH passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2023 in Concord, NH following a lengthy illness.

He was born July 14, 1940 in Wolfeboro, NH the son of Faye (Eldridge) and Robert Bushman.  He attended schools in Wolfeboro and worked as a machinist for many years. 

He loved the outdoors, gardening and his animals.  For the past several years he had a large garden and did his canning and freezing.  For the past three years he won several First Prize Ribbons at the Sandwich Fair for his canned goods. 

Dickie was also very talented in carpentry.  He built our barn by himself, with a little help from a friend, and renovated our home from 1993 to 1996.  He could fix almost anything. 

Dickie is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lois Bushman, his grandson Ryan Beaton of Lancaster, NH his step-daughter Kim White and her son Connor of Naugatuck, CT, a son Thomas and his family of Tuftonboro, NH, his daughters Alison Somario and her family of, New Mexico, Ivena Varney of Melvin Village, NH.  He is also survived by his sister Barbara Goodyear of Wolfeboro, NH.  He was predeceased by a son Robert Bushman, Ctr. Ossipee, NH a sister Jeanne Craigue . 

There will be no calling hours.  A Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
