Richard “Dick” Szymura, 71 of West Ossipee, New Hampshire passed away on March 3rd, 2020, after a brief illness, surrounded by those he loved.
Born on May 29, 1948 to Zygmont and Beatrice Szymura, Dick spent his early years in Newburyport, MA as a general contractor restoring some of the town’s oldest homes, before finding his happy place in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Dick was known for his quick wit and for his famous “Dickisms”, most of which are unfit for print. He would do anything for anyone and his home was a gathering place for friends and family. On many nights you would find Dick and his friends by his fire pit “solving the world’s problems”. Dick was an avid outdoorsman, he loved spending time hunting and fishing. Despite his 30 year dry spell, every season he looked forward to the challenge of tagging that ever elusive deer.
He will be forever loved by his two daughters; Kim Szymura (Rob Grim) and Kerri Szymura Keany (Michael); his four grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Peyton and Maddock; his partner in crime, Robin Moran and his faithful black lab, Rocco.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, March 14th at Lord’s Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Lakes Region Humane Society in Ossipee, NH.
