On March 31, 2021 Robert Jones Davison, 93 of Ossipee, NH passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side.
He was born in Boston, MA. on May 20, 1927. to John R Davison and Mildred Jones (Davison) Hofbauer. At the age of 17 he joined the US Navy (Seabee's) where he served in the Pacific during World War II. After receiving a honorable dischard in 1946. He entered the reserves until 1954. and finished High School at Buckingham Brown and Nichols in Cambridge, MA., Class of 1949. Then on to Bryant & Stratton Business in Boston, MA.
With his Business Degree in hand, He went on to be a salesman for Willey- Biggin Wool Service from 1949- 1953., From 1953 - 1958 He was Salesman for Felt & Tarrant (Manufacturer of Business Machines in Boston). He became there top Salesman in 1958. He was promoted to District Sales Manager. So he moved his family to Syracuse NY still working for Felt & Tarrant. In 1962 Felt and Tarrant was wold to Victor Business Machines. So he moved back to the Boston area as the Vice President and Assistant Treasurer for Plus New England Services Inc. In 1967 He became vice President and part owner of New England Calculating and Clerical Services Inc., In 1980 he became Vice President and part owner of Salter Secretarial School, New England School of Accounting, Worcester, MA., Kinyon Campbell Business School. of New Bedford, MA., In 1983 he became president and treasurer of Plus New England Services and President and Owner of New England Calculating and Clerical Services.
In 1987 after 38 successful years in Sales and Executive management he retired. He and his wife Evelyn moved to Tangerine Woods in Englewood Florida. Spending there summers at there home in Ossipee, NH.
If you ask anyone what Bob loved to do they would all say WORK! He enjoyed camping with his family along with boating, fishing, and golf. Eben after retiring he worked driving the courtesy car for MIller's Auto in Wolfeboro. He also was a volunteer for Granite Day., and the Free Will Baptist Church for many years. He was the President of Tangerine Woods Association and a Volunteer for Lazy Days Construction. Until they moved to there summer home in Ossipee, NH. to live out the rest of there days.
Robert is preceded by his father John R Davison, Mother Mildred Jones (Davison) Hofbauer, Stepfather Victor Hofbauer, Brother John Davison, and his Sister Diane (Davison) Montgomery.
Robert is survived by his wife of 66 years Evelyn., Son's Robert J. Davison, and wife Linjong of Bradenton Florida, Barry Davison and Ruthann Nelson of Ossipee. Grandson's Steven and Christopher Davison of Florida, and Great Grandson Neckodemos Davison of Florida. Three extended Granddaughters, Fourteen extended Great Grandchildren., and many Nieces and Nephews
