Ruth I. (Sargent) Frost

Ruth I. (Sargent) Frost, 89, of Effingham, NH passed away on Wednesday July 22, 2020 at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren when she passed.

Ruth was a native and life-long resident of Effingham.  She was born March 18, 1931 the daughter of the late Lawrence and Hattie (Chase) Sargent.  Ruth graduated 8th grade from the Effingham Falls School.  She was a dedicated member of the Bible Baptist Church in Effingham. 

She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  She loved to yodel and sign and was the number one fan of Hawkshaw Hawkins and the Grand Ole Opry.  She was a passionate about reading, she loved her soap operas, cooking and sewing for her family.  She also loved going to the Fryeburg Fair and Perkins Cove and car rides in general and loved her home.

Ruth is survived by her children, Gloria Grant and her husband Larry, Conway, NH; Cecile E. Frost Jr. and his wife Roseann, Farmington, NH; Gail M. Frost, Tamworth, NH; Deborah D. Jordan, Effingham, NH; her beloved grandchildren, Shane A. Jordan, Effingham, NH, Aaron Grant, Conway, NH and Sean D. Jordan, Effingham, NH.  Ruth loved all of her nieces and nephews and was famous for her extra special hugs.  She will be missed by all.

Ruth was also predeceased by her husband Cecile E. Frost Sr. and her siblings, Lawrence C. Sargent Jr.; Richard L. Sargent Sr.; and Alfred W. Sargent.

There will be no calling hours.  Services will be private.
