Sally F. Weir

Wolfeboro, NH 

Sally Weir of Wolfeboro, NH peacefully crossed over on Saturday October 16th, 2021. 

She was the daughter of Murdoch John Finlayson & Isabelle Mckenna Finlayson, Sally was born in Jacksonville, FL on November 29th, 1937. Sally spent much of her life in Massachusetts before re-locating to Wolfeboro, NH to be closer to her family. She was a graduate of Needham High School in 1955 and completed secretarial training at Hickox secretarial school in Boston, MA. Sally worked in various areas using her secretarial skills while raising her children and managing her household. Eventually Sally pursued her true passion and completed her education at the Sabrina School of Manicures in Quincy, MA. Sally took great pride in being a very fashionable and stylish woman and was best known for her manicuring skills. At the highlight of her career, she was a partial owner of her own skin and nail business named “P & S Nails” in Braintree, MA. 

Sally was a beloved grandmother, mother, and member of her community. Sally had a contagious care-free attitude and one of her favorite sayings was “it is what it is”. 

She was preceded in death by her brother Murdoch John Finlayson II and her long-time love John Foley. Along with many friends and other loved ones, Sally leaves behind her two children, Daniel Weir and Suzanne Hunt, her daughter in-law Laurie Weir, her sister in-law Robin Finlayson, as well as her grandchildren Melissa Mackenzie, Sabre Weir, Zakk Weir, Sierra Weir, Zared Weir and her favorite furry companion, Calvert, her westie white terrier. 

A memorial celebration of Sally’s life will be open to family and friends to be held at Lord Funeral Home, 23 Club Lane, Wolfeboro, NH on Sunday, October 24th from 12:00-2:00pm.
