Susan "Joanne" (Woodworth) Bean

Susan “Joanne” Bean, 82 years old of Center Ossipee, NH passed away on February 17, 2025. She was born on November 9, 1942, in Portsmouth, NH to Mr. & Mrs. Elbridge and Marion (Libby) Woodworth. 

She was raised in West Paris, Maine and lived in several states throughout her life including Florida, Rhode Island and New Hampshire. 

Joanne was a long-time concessionaire for the carnival business with Billy Burrs Funorama. She loved traveling, caring for others and her house plants. 

She is survived by her 7 children: Richard K. McAlister of Sanford, ME; Deborah S. Sturdevant of Sanford, ME; James Davis and wife Jill of New Gloucester, ME; Shari-Lee M. McAlister and partner Billy of Woodstock, ME; Dana S. McAlister and partner Esther of Center Ossipee, NH; Kimberly L. Davis and husband Tim of Cocoa, FL; Nichole R. Snow and husband Michael of Center Ossipee, NH. She also leaves behind 20 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Lastly, she leaves her beloved dog Lily.

She was predeceased by her husband Delwood Bruce Bean in 1993. 

Family and friends are welcomed to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:30 p.m. at River’s Edge Grille & Tavern 310 NH-16B Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.
