Tyepoet Sheehan, 29, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Born on October 24, 1996, in Newburyport, Massachusetts, Tyepoet was a man of depth, heart, and quiet strength. Though he faced his personal struggles, he was deeply loved and will be remembered for the light he brought to those closest to him. His presence—whether through a shared laugh, a thoughtful conversation, or simply sitting beside someone in silence—left an imprint that will never fade.

Tyepoet was predeceased by his father, Daniel Sheehan, whom he lost at a very young age and carried in his heart throughout his life, and his mother, Cathy Brown, who passed away April 26, 2012. It brings comfort to those who loved him to imagine father and son reunited once again. He is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Sloane, who stood beside him with unwavering love and devotion; his siblings, Ashley, Anthony, Brianna, Savannah, Chelsea, and Jaiden; aunts, Cheri, Michelle, Christine, Crystal, and Sheila; uncles Christopher and Sean, who all cared for him deeply throughout his life; his dear friends, Roger Proulx, Joe Knowles, and Charlie Lauziere, who were always there for him with steadfast loyalty, friendship, and support; and the many friends who became family along his journey.

Tyepoet’s journey was not without its battles, but he was more than his struggles. He was a son, a partner, a brother, a nephew, and a friend. He will be remembered for his humor, his complexity, and the love he gave and received.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The First Congregational Church of Ossipee, 50 Route 16B Center Ossipee, NH, on Saturday May 16, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a pre-reception at the Dinner Bell from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. where they will be serving Tye’s favorite meals.
