Willis Lyon Hayes Sr. passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at the age of 74 in his home in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire surrounded by loved ones.

Willis was born on Sunday, October 14, 1951 to Ernest Hayes and Edith Hayes in Warwick, Rhode Island. 

Willis will forever be remembered by his love of cars. He would commonly be seen at local cruise nights and gatherings. Willis led a life long career in carpentry creating his own business to share for many generations. Willis will be remembered by his guidance and wisdom, and his ability to bring cheer and laughter to any situation.

Willis is survived by his brother Patrick Hayes, by his children Willis Lyon Hayes Jr, Mark Allen Hayes and Kelley Ann Hayes, by his grandchildren Willis Lyon Hayes III, Rebecca Rosemarie Cuhna and Anthony Thomas Hayes.

There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am on Friday, May 8, 2026 at Lakeview Cemetery in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire.
