It's been three years but I still feel the loss of my larger than life nephew. Andy was a presence in my life from the moment I became Aunt Bonnie. I remember spending a whole paycheck for a large Christmas gift when he was 2 months old and then having to return it because Lynne and Harry had already bought the same thing. I hate making returns. I can't even remember what the gift was! So many Christmases, birthdays and Easter egg hunts! So many stories shared at family dinners. I was always pleased that he kept in touch with Liz, who is 10 years younger but a kindred soul regarding music and food. I think of him often and hope that the family still feels the embrace of his love and laughter. May your memories serve you well.
With much love,
Aunt Bonnie

Dear McCall Family,
I worked with Andy very recently for a few short months starting last fall. Andy and I had just finished the most intense portion of a training project in St. Louis at the end February and I was planning on contacting him to check in when I heard the tragic news. I am so very sorry for your loss.
Andy had a wealth of wisdom and was well respected by everyone who met him. I have missed him these last few weeks, wishing I could ask him a question or get his advice.
May God comfort and bless you in this time of sadness.
Sincerely,
Elaine Gwin

To Andy's family,
I met only some of you once when I went to your Weston Home. Andy hired me at Plan4Demand and I was lucky enough to be based in the SoFla area as well. I'm writing this note not to tell you how much I loved working with Andy but how much he reverberated his family values to others. Andy's passion for his family was like no other. In fact, as I started a family of my own years later...I learned a lot of what it takes to be a great parent from what he did with you all. With all families there are ups and downs. But he was always so proud of you. I loved hearing how he would dedicate 4th of July projects each summer to build or improve something in your home. And how he tried to guide his kids to be safe and grounded yet give them wings at the same time.
Everyone will miss him terribly, but you all made him so proud to be who he was. Keep it up, because he will always shine that pride down on you....forever.
Best Wishes!
Andrea

Andy and I met in the South Florida music scene, attending Further in Live Oak, Phil & Phriends, Grateful Dead meetups at the movies, and many Crazy Fingers performances at the Fisherman's Wharf. Andy offered me computer work during hard times and we would work in his home office in Weston. We would break for lunch and grill food outside, take a dip in the pool before going back to work...not a bad way to spend a work day. At a festival, some guy got in my face about taking photos relentlessly badgering me about how photographs are artificial memories and other nonsense, Andy stood up, loomed over the guy and said, "Why don't you turn around, sit down and enjoy the show" which the man did without a further peep.
At another event we were walking in and the staff mistook him for a Miami Hurricanes football player and offered us free tickets. "I appreciate the offer, but I'm not him and will be happy to pay for the tickets", Andy replied. I was disappointed because I was ready to ride his coattails and get in for free. A stand-up guy who was larger than life. It was always a fun time hanging with him and he will be missed.

I am at a loss for words. Andy and I would lose touch and reconnect so many times over the past decade that I just assumed my big friend would always be there with his sage advice and way of cutting through the meaningless stuff to make sure you knew he was paying attention.
I don't think I ever got a chance to tell Andy that I love him.......

My deepest condolences to the McCall family. I know from talking to Andy how much he loved his family. There was no other topic that would spark him up with more pride than talking about his family. He was an amazing talent, an incredible human being and I feel privileged to have known him. Please know that my family has your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Dear McCall family:
I wish to convey my sincerest condolences to your entire family. Losing a loved one in death is one is one of the hardest things that anyone will ever have to deal with. There is a great hope held out to us for the future because God promises to bring those we lost back to life by means of a resurrection to a paradise earth, where sickness and death will be no more. I hope this brief message will bring you a measure of comfort in this difficult time.

It was an honor and pleasure to know Andy for the short time we worked on the Steelwedge project. Andy was brilliant and passionate about his work and was immensely knowledgeable about so many things. I especially enjoyed learning about how proud he was of his family and his beloved New England Patriots.
You have left an indelible mark and you will be sorely missed. May God grant serenity and peace to the McCalls in this very difficult time. Rest in peace my friend.

May you have peace in the coming days as you remember the love for life and his family that Andy had. Many of us are sad as we knew Andy in grade school and high school but have lost touch with him over the years. From school bus trips everyday, to soccer and of course skiing we have many memories and will be praying for you as you mourn the loss of a great guy.

My deep condolences to Andy family,
I was saddened by the news and he taught me a great lesson way back in the 4th grade. I tripped a kid on the playground that had a disability. Andy came over and put me on the ground ( he was way bigger than me) and told me what I had done wrong. Well that kid ended up in a wheelchair and do to Andy insight, I ended up pushing that kid around school into high school. It's funny how one one person can change the life of so many! Andy, from that point on I have grown bigger and defend people who need it. Thanks my old friend. RIP

We carry a heavy heart, but only for a moment, then we break out in laughter. Like an uncontrollable uproar. The deepest belly laugh you ever had. Then a silence. Maybe like at a still lake. Or before you look out over a valley as you descend down a mountain. Then another moment uncomfortable, you wonder why. Please don't ask a voice says, just enjoy the laughter. It will always last.

Andy was one of the best and brightest in his field ... he was a joy to work with and for... to grab a great dinner (he always knew the best places) and have conversations about everything from where to get the best mussels to sports to his family ... of which he always spoke of with great affection and pride. He will be missed greatly by those that crossed paths with him !

My first memory of Andy was walking into his college dorm room with Denise and seeing his skis. I was in disbelief that anyone could actually ski on something that tall!

52 is way to short but I am certain he took the express lane right to heaven!

I was privileged to meet Andy shortly after joining Steelwedge late last year. What struck me the most was his personality and passion! While only a brief encounter, certainly one that I will always remember. The stories the team shares.... larger than life, missed by many-too soon. My thoughts are with Andy's family during this time.
