Isabelle Ann Milnes Foss

Isabelle Ann Milnes Foss of Freedom, N.H. passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016 in Palm Coast, Florida with all of her children and daughters-in-law at her side.

She was born December 28, 1926 in Providence, R.I. and had lived in Haverhill, MA for 30 years with her first husband, Ralph L. Milnes, Jr. while spending summers in Freedom, N.H.  Ann retired to Freedom, N.H. in 1984 where she lived with her second husband, Laurence E. Foss.

Ann had worked as an office manager for Internal Revenue Service and had also worked in Quality Control at Western Electric Company.  Ann had been an active member of the First Christian Church of Freedom, N.H. and the Freedom Community Club.  For several years, she volunteered at the Tourist Information booth in Ossipee, N.H. and also volunteered transporting people to medical appointments.

Ann was a generous person with a kind heart who cared for and inspired all who knew her, especially her family.  She will be greatly missed.

Ann leaves behind her children, Christopher R. Milnes and wife, Christine of Palm Coast, FL; Russell D. Milnes and wife Kathryn of Palm Coast, FL; Cheryl A. Ferris and husband, Robert of Ipswich, MA; Nancy D. Gutierrez and husband, Robert of Suwanee, GA, 9 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   She is also survived by her step-children, Kathleen McRae of Sebastian, FL; Laurence D. Foss and wife Debbie of Stratham, NH;  David W. Foss, Eliot, ME, a sister-in-law Pauline Cunningham, Port St. Lucie, FL.   She is predeceased by her husband, Ralph L. Milnes Jr, husband, Laurence E. Foss; daughter Paula Milnes; sister, Anastasia Nordquist and her husband Alvin;  brother Christopher Cunningham and step-daughter Carol Hutton.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016 from 11 am-1 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1 pm at Lord's Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Rd, Center Ossipee, NH.  Burial will take place at the Lakeview Cemetery in Freedom, NH this spring.
