Jean (Cheney) Dietzel, 79, passed away on July 3, 2016 and is now with the Lord.  She was born in Biddeford, ME, the daughter of Earl and Isabelle (Moore) Cheney, wonderful parents who gave her love, guidance and understanding. Later she was joined by two sisters to round out this loving family.  Jean was a thoughtful, caring daughter; a kind and involved sister. 

Early on Jean developed a life-long love of reading; a passion which she fostered and encouraged with her children, niece and nephew who all readily responded and continue to enjoy. Thank you Aunt Jean from Heather and Howard.

Jean always enjoyed the beauty of creation in all of its forms; be it wildlife, flowers or family companions. She was a lover of life and gave so much of herself to others.

She was a graduate of Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH, later taking employment at Meredith News as a linotype operator. She worked there for many years, until her marriage to William (Bill) H. Dietzel Jr. of Effingham, NH. Bill and Jean were a perfect match. They raised two children, Michael and Susan, who brought so much joy and love to their lives.

Jean and her husband Bill were members of Journey Church, in Conway, NH and considered their faith an important part of their lives.  The membership family of Journey Church has been supportive, both with personal time and heartfelt prayers, which have been received and relied upon in the loving spirit it was extended.

The family would also like to thank the Mountain View Community, Ossipee, NH and Central NH VNA/Hospice, Wolfeboro, NH for their wonderful care of Jean.

Calling hours will be Friday, July 15, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, NH.  Funeral Services will be Saturday 11:00am at the Journey Church, 296 E Main Street, Conway, NH.  Burial will be in the Chickville Cemetery, Center Ossipee, NH.
