After Hilary left us, whenever I would see Gina (usually at the grocery store)she would take my hand and say "I think of Hilary every day". Thank you for that Gina - I don't know if you ever realized how much that meant to me.

Love and sympathy to all of her dear family and friends,
Becky Swaffield

Mrs. Skelley was the first person we ever met in Wolfeboro, during a prolonged road trip exploring places to stay in NH in 1969. Her kindness, & welcoming hospitality, (&delicious food!) led us back to Wolfeboro for more than 30 consecutive summers after that , and several more even since then. Mrs. Skelley would often stop by the booth at Bailey’s restaurant & visit with my parents after what I am certain were extremely long, busy summer days for her. She’d chat with my parents as if she hadn’t already fed and served probably thousands of people each summer. My parents considered her a dear friend, and enjoyed catching up on the activities of her boys & eventually growing family each year. Her staff and family were efficient, hard workers with welcoming, & gracious personalities as well, as she obviously set the bar high and lived by example. This is the passing of another era in Wolfeboro, and the world is now missing a wonderful person. My sincere condolences to the Skelley and Bailey families.
Fondly,
Bernadette Hausheer-Meehan

Bailey's restaurant as an "accidental" stop for my family due to car-sickness that transformed into decades of summer visits to the hotel and innumerable visits to Bailey's for Blueberry Muffins, Hot fudge sundaes and much more. My parents, 7 siblings and eventually in-laws and grandchildren were greeted each year with incredible hospitality and delicious food. The whole family welcomed us and fed us despite our pressing closing time beyond its normal limits. We pray for the family and thank you all for the memories that still warm our hearts.

I was so sorry to read of Gina's passing. She was an icon in Wolfeboro and wherever she went. Everyone thought the world of her and felt so comfortable in her presence.

I also loved her smile and her sense of humor. No matter how she was feeling she would never complain and always had a big smile and "Hello" when she saw you.

She will be greatly missed and thought of very often.

My condolences and sympathy to the family at this sad time, but remember how lucky we all were to have her in our lives and all of you especially who had so much more of her in your lives.

Sincerely,

Donna King

I was saddened to hear of Gina's passing. My family has known the Skelley's since the late 1970's when my parents moved next door to them. My mom and Gina would talk about their boys. Her smile and relaxed manner are what I most remember. On behalf of my Mom, Dorothy Millen and my brother's Steve and Paul, our thoughts are with Al and all the Skelley family at this sad time.

We send our most sincere condolences to Al, and the entire Skelley family. With so many wonderful memories touching so many people, "Gina" will not be forgotten.

We send deepest sympathies to Allan and Cindy, also, at this difficult time.

Our family has had the privilege of having 5 generations be associated with the Bailey/Skelley family, and we have certainly enjoyed a lot of great food and delicious ice cream during all these years.

Thank you, "Gina" for being so much, to so many, for so long.

A GRANDMA'S GARDEN  TABLE BASKET was ordered on May 17, 2016

I have so many fond memories of "Mrs. Skelley"- from simply being Ricky's Mom, to Mt. Whittier and later ski meets, to working at Bailey's. When another summer job ended (for less than stellar reasons) she hired me. I always appreciated her exasperation with me (which I saw as loving and kidding). And when I returned to Wolfeboro, she greet me with a warm "hello Debbie" and "what sort of trouble are you up to now". I feel fortunate to have known such a wonderful lady and wish all the family joy in the memories.
