Phyllis (Bryant) Swan, 89, formerly of Sandwich, NH died at the Merriman House in North Conway, NH May 16, 2016 with her family by her side.

Born in Sandwich, NH April 22, 1927, she was the daughter of John and Madeline Bryant.  A graduate of the Quimby School of that town, she married her high school sweetheart, Dean E. Swan on November 11, 1944.  They were married 65 years.  He preceded her in death on February 3, 2010.

"Phyl" will be remembered as a loving mother to her daughters; Bonnie (Steve) Hickey of Ctr. Ossipee, and Kim (Charlie) Gibbs of Freedom; a grandmother, great grandmother and recently a great-great grandmother.

She knitted beautifully and her baby sweaters, hats and mittens were shared with many children over the years.

'Phyl" and her husband enjoyed camping and Bluegrass festivals and playing their musical instruments with their many friends.

Private family graveside services will be held at Little Pond Cemetery with the Reverend Murray Nickerson.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Merriman House for their kind and compassionate care.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Lord Funeral Home of Center Ossipee.
