Ray and his family entered the United States when Ray was 10 years old with the purchase of a dairy farm.  Growing up in Colebrook, NH, Ray and his father also worked in the pulpwood and Christmas tree business. Ray’s mother Dora, was an exceptional woman who owned Dora’s shop in Colebrook, NH and also operated a Boutique at the Balsam Hotel for many years.

Ray was a well known figure in the community. As a successful self-made businessman, Ray started his career as the owner of a small gas station, Ray’s Sunoco in Dover, NH.  Expanding his business, Ray acquired a small rail station renamed to Ray’s Marina, which grew into the successful local business on Milton Three Ponds, which served the needs of the boating and RV community for over 40 years. Ray’s success was built on his strong work ethic, his love for the sale, and his strong customer service.

Ray was a “guy’s guy” and always the life of the party. He truly loved life and his enthusiasm was contagious. He will be remembered for loving to dance and “Zabba zabba zu”. His hobbies were waterskiing, boating, snow skiing, snow mobiling and golf.  His personality was larger than life and “one of a kind”!  Taking a walk with his dogs was his favorite. Always loving it when a plan came together!
