Marilyn, Mike & Dianne:
I just learned about Ray's passing. I am so sorry to hear of it. I did business with Ray at the marina for many years and got to know him well. He was a fun man who always seemed to have a smile on his face. I haven't seen him in a long time, but always remembered his smile and sense of humor.

I worked for Ray from 1971 through 2002. during this time I had 2 life changes that left me feeling empty and alone as those difficult times tend to do. Ray was always supporting, during these times. I always thought of Ray as being my mentor and friend. During some of my darkest days he had wrote me with encouraging words keeping me positive. Ray always had a home for me at Rays Marina. Where I always felt my strongest because of him. I have not seen Ray for almost Ten years. I do think of him and his antics almost daily. I will always think of Ray with great respect and fondness for his friendship that he had shown me through the years. He would come by my office to hand me a 100 dollar bill for a job well done I often read his letters that he wrote me during my absence. Ray was the most influential force in my life in business. I thank you Ray for all your gifts of kindness and words you had shared with me. I do, and, will miss you my friend. Jerry

Dear Marilyn and family,
When we read your email this morning of dear Ray's passing we were extremely saddened for those loved ones he left behind who knew and loved him so dearly.
My late husband and I were neighbors of yours at Windstar on Naples Bay what seems like a long time ago. The last time Don and I saw you was in Venice, at The Reserve in Plantation. Time and health wears on us all which we touched on over brunch.
We will not be able to be at Ray's services but would like you to know that we are here for you in the future for your needs. We will be in touch by phone in June.
We'll toast to an unforgettable man on May 21. Our Love, Betsy and Don
